He's my Justin Bieber.
Listening to Dave on the radio every single day is always informative, sometimes sad, inspiring and always hilarious. It's funny because I hear people asking Dave the same questions I ask myself about money.
Why can't I get a credit card? Should I buy a new car? Should I invest now or after I'm debt free?
I always end up getting my questions answered. I am even able to answer callers' questions before he does. I know what he's going to say. He's going to say "No, you can't afford that." He sounds a lot like the angel on my shoulder. He's the voice in my head at the Gap.
So today, even though I'd heard it all before, it was a great reminder of why we are doing what we're doing. We are 2/3 of that way through our "debt snowball" and will be debt free in half the amount of time we planned for. More than anything I now have no fear about finances. I have so much more knowledge now. I even did our taxes all by my myself and got us a big honkin' refund! (even though I gave it all to the loan company....ack!)
I'm just at peace. Financial Peace.
If you aren't, I'd highly suggest you check out Dave Ramsey. Read one of his books, listen to his radio show (1520 am in OKC) even if you don't have debt! Everyone has a financial goal, and if you use his principals (which are the same as God's and your grandmother's) you can reach that goal twice as fast!
LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE, so later you can live like no one else.
